This is the look of pure terror. I got stuck in an elevator w/ #caseycrescenzo @kylethieves & @ianmaloney for an hour. Anyways, we’re playing #TheLoft tonight. #Hotlanta #naivethieves #thedearhunter #stuckhereforever

I couldn’t find this anywhere on the internet, and then i remembered i ripped it. Love The Dear Hunter!

This was missing, presumed dead for years. And then, like the father in Tommy, here it is again.

Right, Tumblr. That exists. Cool. Okay. Maybe this will start being used more!

So, as people have noticed, LATR has been down for about a week now.

Here’s what happened: there have been plans in place to transfer the hosting of the site to me (Sigafoos) for quite some time now. Last week this process was started. Like all good things, it has not gone as smoothly as it should.

There are two parts to a website: the domain (lakeandtheriver.com) and the data (the forums itself). I have the data. It is all set up. Hooray! The domain is still not pointed at the new server, and I’m not sure if it’s because the current owner hasn’t done it yet or the internet gremlins are taking their time obeying or what.

In the meantime I registered lakeandtheriver.info because it was only $3 and why not. If you go there you can see the forums. Awesome, you say! Except there’s a bug where you can’t log in. I’m not sure what’s going on with that.

This all happened while I was on vacation, and my ability to mess around with settings was severely hampered by the crappy wifi I was stealing. I’m going to try to figure out the issue now while also catching up at work so I don’t get, y’know, fired.

If you’re technically inclined: you can’t log in, or retrieve a lost password, or change the forum skin. These all use POST variables, so there’s something going on in there. If you can figure out the issue, let me know. I have a sinking feeling that even when latr.com is transferred over this issue will persist, so I’d like to get it worked out now.
